Douglas Council is warning people to brush up on their election law or face being prosecuted.
The local authority says election materials violating election laws have been reported to it - the second time it's happened during this campaign so far.
It says all such matters will be reported to the police.
On Facebook, the council says candidates and their supporters should remain respectful of each other throughout the election period.
