'Be careful of fires in dry weather' says Fire Service

Dry weather means more fires for a service which is low on resources.

The public are now being asked to help protect the countryside from wildfires.
 
They're being warned that things like lighting bonfires, campfires and barbecues anywhere near combustible vegetation could see a small problem burst out of control. 
 
Chief fire officer Kevin Groom says firefighters can cope with smaller fires, but people need to be aware of how strained major issues could become:
