Ballajora bluebell butchery sparks bitter criticism

Residents in Maughold are bloomin' angry - after banks of bluebells near the Manx Electric Railway line were cut down.

On a local social media group, people living nearby say workers have been doing maintenance near the MER tracks at Ballajora crossing.

But they say they're upset after a bank of bluebells was chopped down with a strimmer.

One said "Anyone else outraged that the MER have strimmed the bluebells at Ballajora crossing? They were spectacular! I plan on emailing them unless someone else has already?"
