Ditching government employed baggage handlers at Ronaldsway Airport is not a form of privatisation.
That's the message from the Infrastructure Minister who says it was a decision to "withdraw from the market" instead:
22 jobs at the airport are at risk following the department's decision to outsource the service - Ray Harmer says airlines had asked to use its own agents instead.
He told Tynwald this week that 'full and frank' discussions had been held with those affected and it will be "business as usual":
