A man from Port St Mary who almost crashed into two cyclists while fleeing from the police will be sentenced in August.
At Douglas Courthouse last week Robert John Hamilton-Hunter admitted failing to stop for the officers on Douglas Road in Ballasalla on January 24th.
They'd tried to stop the 20-year-old, of Station Road, on the roundabout but he swerved to avoid them, ignoring other traffic and travelling in excess of the speed limit.
When officers caught up with him on the Balthane Industrial Estate they discovered he was carrying 1.3 grams of cannabis which had a street value of £26.
In court Hamilton Hunter also pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and of unlawful possession of the Class B substance.
Social enquiry reports have been requested before he's sentenced on August 3rd - he's been bailed until that date.
