Meals provided at the Island's secondary schools are made up of around 20-30% of 'ultra-processed foods.'
That's according to the Education Minister, following a written question by Garff MHK Daphne Caine.
Julie Edge says that 15.5% of the primary school menu is primarily composed of ultra-processed foods as defined by the NOVA food classification system.
Further, Ballakermeen High School has the most food belonging to this classification, at 29%, with Castle Rushen High School having the least at 19.05%.
