Motorists are being appealed too after a road traffic collision claimed the life of a local man over the weekend.
A man riding a motorcycle was killed as a result of the incident which occurred shortly after 4.00pm on Sunday in the area of the Mountain Mile.
The Mountain had to be closed for a number of hours between the Bungalow and the Hairpin following the incident to allow for investigations.
The identity of the rider is not being released at this time to allow for all family members to be notified.
Inquiries are ongoing and Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at this time.
