Officers say the incident happened at 1.15pm on Saturday, November 11 near Guthries Memorial.
A black four-wheeled drive vehicle overtook other cars - forcing the ambulance driver to take evasive action.
Police say they'd like to speak to the driver of a small silver car which was overtaken and sounded its horn.
If you have any information you're being asked to contact police headquarters.
