New codes of practice for looking after pets look set to be passed by Tynwald next month.
During the court's May sitting, members will be asked to approve an Animal Welfare (Codes of Practice) Order.
The order contains a series of separate codes for looking after dogs, rabbits, horses and cats.
The codes will be used as guides in animal welfare cases under new laws introduced last year.
