Medicor Veterinary Practice has applied for permission to build the temporary facility at Kennaa Equestrian Centre on Kennaa Road in St Johns.
The company says although it applied for a permanent facility last year, rising labour and material costs as well as time pressures means it needs to go ahead with the project as soon as possible.
In its application, it says it wants to put the previous application on hold and convert a steel-framed barn to serve in the meantime.
