One of the Island's civic amenity sites will be accepting metal and wood from today.
The northern facility at Balladoole will be offering the service but says people won't be able to dispose of metal and wood at the same time as household and green waste to maintain social distancing.
Those running the site say it continues to operate on a booking system where those needing to use it can choose which materials they will bring to dispose of.
They're also thanking residents for their support in helping them run a safe service during the current lockdown.
