An amber weather warning has been issued for coastal overtopping.
It came into force last night, and remains in place until 2pm this afternoon.
Forecasters say areas likely to be affected include Shore Road, Gansey, Port St Mary, Castletown Promenade, northern end of Douglas prom and Laxey.
Strong South to Southwest winds are expected to cause rough waves to break over, with a risk of minor flooding.
