An amber weather warning is in place until the early hours of tomorrow for coastal overtopping and minor inner harbour flooding.
The Ronaldsway Met Office says the conditions are expected to affect the Island from 8:30am this morning up until 12:45am.
Strong winds will increase throughout the day, creating large waves and lead to ‘significant’ overtopping of sea water and debris onto some promenades.
Shore Road, Castletown, Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey Promenades are all likely to be affected.
