An amber weather warning for heavy rain and localised flooding is in force today.
The notice from Ronaldsway Met Office is in place until 4pm this afternoon.
Officials say up to 30mm of rainfall could be expected in general and up to 50mm in certain other places with most of the showers forecast to take place during a period of six hours or less.
It’s advised this will lead to standing water on roads and a risk of localised flooding in prone areas.
