The Island's Treasury minister has repeated his position that cutting VAT for the hospitality industry would mean making service cuts.
In the House of Keys today, Dr Alex Allinson faced questions from Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK Jason Moorhouse.
He wanted to know what consideration had been given to cutting the rate, as requested by the industry.
Dr Allinson said VAT made up 28 per cent of government income:
