All schools will close at 1pm today due to the weather.

All schools will close at 1pm today due to the weather.

The Department of Education and Children has made the decision based on this afternoon's forecast.

Secondary school children will be taken home by bus as usual - parents of primary school children are being asked to make provisions to collect their children.

The department has stressed that there is no rush and children will be kept in school until they can be collected.
