Ronaldsway Airport is now reopen after being closed all morning due to a 'suspicious package' in the baggage checking area.
While police assessed the item the airport had to be shut down due to safety protocols, and emergency services assisted with the evacuation of the building.
Police confirm that checks indicated that the issue was caused by a security alert on a baggage scanning machine being activated.
As a result, a number of flights have been cancelled while others face delays.
You're asked not to contact police for information on flights - instead you can check with your airline or find updates on the Isle of Man Airport Facebook page and website.
