The Department of Infrastructure has decided not to go ahead with plans to totally scrap free parking at the airport.
However, the length of time drivers will be allowed to park free of charge is being reduced to half an hour.
The original plans to introduce charges weren’t popular and the department received 150 submissions from members of the public.
From mid-August short stay parking will be charged as follows:
0 - 30mins - free
31mins - 1hr - £1.00
1hr - 2hr - £1.50
2hr - 4hr - £2.50
