Airport Director confirms Ronaldsway is open as usual

The only flight at the moment cancelled is the Glasgow/ IOM flight

We've had official word in from the Isle of Man's Airport Director that Ronaldsway is open as usual this morning.

There is a high concentration of ash plume in the Scottish Region but it is expected to stay north of Manx air space.

Some low density ash plume is likely.

Scottish airports are open today but the responsibility to fly remains entirely with airlines.

The only flight at the moment cancelled is the Glasgow/ IOM flight which Loganair made the decision to cancel yesterday.

Ann Reynolds said that a further update regarding the situation or air space around the Isle of Man will be made at 1o'clock this afternoon.
