Blue Islands has announced it’s pulling out of operating direct flights to and from the Channel Islands.
The airline runs a direct service to Jersey and Guernsey from the Isle of Man three times a week.
According to Blue Islands there’s been a 72 per cent decrease in passenger numbers on the routes – something which is untenable for the business.
In a statement the company blames falling numbers on the fact the Island is not a strong leisure destination. It also says key business accounts have stopped travelling here.
The last flight will be on Friday, February 1st. Customers booked to travel after this can claim a refund.
