The Island's air ambulance service is asking relatives to remember to bring photo ID if their loved ones are flown for treatment across.
On Facebook, the service says changes to the UK's border force requirements mean possible complications and delays without either a driving licence or passport.
It says if you're packing a bag for a patient heading for Accident & Emergency, you should include some sort of photo ID just in case.
In its post, it says it understands the situation can be stressful but thinking ahead can help resolve difficulties before they happen.
