The Air Ambulance service cost the Department of Health and Social Care over £2.3m last year.
That's according to Minister Lawrie Hooper, after being asked about the service by Speaker and Rushen MHK Juan Watterson.
There were 600 transfers in the last financial year, costing around £3,970 per journey.
Mr Hooper adds that despite inflationary pressures and increasing demand, the average cost per transfer has stayed around the same for the last six years.
