Government is warning that more needs to be done to combat the threat of the sea level rising.
It’s expected to rise between 11cm and 78cm by the year 2100 which is likely to result in severe flooding.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is now bringing forward new proposals to combat this.
It wants all government departments to assess the current and future risks posed by the climate and implement contingency measures.
