The Abortion Reform Bill has passed its second reading.
In the House of Keys today proposed new plans for reform on the Island were unanimously supported.
Dr Alex Allinson's newest measures include women having an abortion up to 14 weeks and up to 24 weeks if there are serious health implications.
There'll be a chance for further debate in 2 weeks time, when a number of amendments and clauses will be looked into.
Dr Allinson said for year Manx politicians had turned a blind eye to women forced to travel to the UK for the procedure.
