A month's rain falls in 24 hours

The Met Office say it was the wettest June day on record.

Almost a month's worth of rain fell in 24 hours on Friday.

48mm of rain fell at Ronaldsway, the average figure for the whole month of June is 58mm.

The Met Office say it was the wettest June day on record.

A spokesperons said; 'It was an extremely wet day for the Isle of Man, over the higher parts there was almost 3 inches of rain. Our records date back to 1947 and Friday was the wettest day in June we have ever recorded.'
