An 81 year old man from Ballasalla will appear in court again next month after denying dangerous driving.
Donald Jones of Hawthorne Grove is alleged to have hit another vehicle on the Old Castletown Road on July 15 last year.
At Douglas Courthouse Barry Swain, prosecuting, said Mr Jones had been on the wrong side of the road when he crashed into an oncoming car - both drivers had to be cut from their vehicles.
Mr Jones was bailed in the sum of £500 and will appear for a pre-trial review on February 22.
