Ballaugh commissioners have announced an eight per cent rates rise.
The local authority says the rate for the coming year will be 135 pence in the pound.
The board says the rise is due to increases in costs at the Northern Civic Amenity Site and Northern Swimming Pool.
And commissioners say they're also expecting to pay more for insurance, utilities and local highway services.
