A 74 year old woman who died in a suspected hit and run incident in the UK has been named.
Pauline Edwards of Heysham was killed in a car crash last Wednesday, and police arrested a 31 year old man from the Island shortly afterwards.
He was detained by officers on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving, but has since been released.
Mum-of-two Mrs Edwards – a former primary school teacher - has been described by her family as having a caring and generous nature.
