£7.7m cost by Manx Care staff sickness

Manx Care says staff sickness cost it £7.7 million last year.

The figures were given in response to a Freedom of Information request about illness in the organisation.

In its response, it said it had taken corrective action over sickness absence 204 times in the past year.

And it added sickness absence had cost £7,792,212 over that time.
