The Minister for Infrastructure will be asking for Tynwald approval to spend a significant amount to refurbish the Ramsey swing bridge.
The DoI are seeking £650,000 for the works.
The swing bridge has been a focal point of the town since 1892 and occasionally needs working on to replace Victorian mechanisms.
