Douglas Council says it'll spend £35,000 replacing nearly 40 trees in Willaston which were left unsafe after Storm Eowyn in January.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says the 39 trees near homes should be removed after they were left vulnerable to storms.
They're due to be replaced with a mix of 39 smaller native trees around Baldwin Road.
The local authority says it'll look into possible uses of the wood from the trees that need felling.
