Department of Education Remind Public Only 3 Weeks to Submit Feedback for Children\'s Bill
The
Department of Education is reminding the public that they have only 3 weeks to
submit their views over the draft for the all important Children
Bill.
The
aim of the bill is to strengthen support and protection for children and young
people, particularly those who are vulnerable.
The
Bill will see the introduction of a Childrens Commissioner who will charged
with the task of promoting and safeguarding the rights of children and young
people on the Island.
The
revised bill came about following the recommendations made by an independent
commission of inquiry which followed the deaths of two young people.
