A local charity has been awarded a grant of £25,000 after being voted as the public's favourite organisation.
The Diana Princess of Wales Care at Home Trust, which funds hospice at home services on the Island, was given the money by the Masonic Charitable Foundation as part of its 300th anniversary.
Trust Chairman Ron Spencer says the money is going to make a significant impact on their ability to meet increasing demand for care services on the Island.
He says with the funding more nurses can be recruited and the charity can extend their services for the year to come.
