A 250-year-old piece of Ballaugh history will be chopped down next week.
The elm tree next to the play area, which has stood for centuries, has Dutch Elm Disease.
Ballaugh Commissioners say it'll be felled on Monday, June 15 - the old railway line will be closed and the work area cordoned off, with the park closed.
The work should take two days to complete.
