Almost 2,000 people were arrested on Island from April 2022-23.
That's according to figures laid out in the Chief Constable's Annual Report, which also shows there were a 7 per cent increase in recorded crimes.
Further, there was a 23% rise in theft offences, with shoplifting rising by a third.
The report highlights this could be down to people struggling amidst high levels of inflation, especially with food prices.
