An 18-year old man has been sent to prison for a year for having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Douglas man Martin Furlonger had previously pleaded guilty to five charges and was sentenced at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.
The court heard how he had met the girl during the summer holidays and despite being aware of her age entered into a sexual relationship.
Sentencing him for the four charges - three of which date back to August and a fourth from September - Deemster Alistair Montgomerie sentenced him to nine months in prison.
He was given a further three months for a fifth charge concerning another teenager.
