A man is currently on bail following the unexplained death of a teenage girl in Ramsey over the weekend.
Ambulance crews were called to an address in Ormley Avenue at about 9.30pm on Friday.
They were responding to reports that a 17-year-old girl was unconscious, upon arrival they found her to be unresponsive and despite their best efforts she was declared dead on arrival at Nobles hospital.
A 35-year-old man who was present at the address was arrested and interviewed over the weekend at Police Headquarters; he’s now been released on bail.
A post mortem was conducted yesterday, as yet the cause of death has not been ascertained and further tests will be required.
The identity of the deceased will not be released until formal identification has taken place.
