A total of 16 applications from town centre businesses have been rejected from getting help from government support schemes.
The figures were released by Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston, answering a Tynwald question for written reply from Peel and Glenfaba MHK Kate Lord Brennan.
These included the Domestic Event Fund, and Town and Village Regeneration and Winter Event schemes.
The minister also said that no applications from businesses have yet been rejected for either the Local Economy Fund or Pop-Up Scheme.
