Chief Constable Gary Roberts has confirmed there were 16 people arrested in the last 24-hours.
Posting via social media, the Chief Constable said most offences were related to drug supply, money laundering, drug possession, assaults and drunkenness.
He added: "By my calculation, not surprisingly, all bar two are local."
