The police are appealing to shop owners who may have sold the paint stripper needed to carry out thousands of pounds worth of damage on over 60 cars in the south.
It’s estimated that over £48,000 worth of damage was caused to the cars, with roughly £800 of panel work needed on each vehicle.
Due to the random nature of the crime it is proving a challenge to obtain information to help with the police enquiries.
Crimestoppers are offering a £1000 reward for anyone who comes forward with information.
