1,000 crosses in Ramsey for WW1

One thousand crosses will be planted in Ramsey to commemorate the outbreak of the First World War.

 The Royal British Legion is creating a 'cross of crosses' on Sunday, August 10th, which will take pride of place in Mooragh Park. 
 
Dave Llewellyn is the secretary of the northern branch - he says it's to honour those who served: 
 
 
Within it there will be 112 black crosses to highlight the men killed and who are named on the town's war memorial:
