A St Johns man has been told to 'think twice' after being caught driving without insurance twice in three months.
25-year-old Aaron Stevens, of Creg Willeys Hill, appeared at Douglas Courthouse last week.
Police stopped Stevens on May 7th on Main Road in Kirk Michael - he didn't have a valid insurance policy in place.
Stevens was then stopped again on August 28th, this time on Ballure Road in Ramsey - he had no insurance or tax for the vehicle he was in.
His advocate told the court the first offence was an 'administrative error' as he'd missed the renewal e-mail from his insurance provider.
On the second occasion she said Stevens had bought the vehicle for parts and was simply moving it to a new location but accepted he should have used a wagon to transport the car.
Magistrates fined Stevens £900 and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £100.
Endorsing his driving licence with 10 penalty points they told him: "If you think again about driving without insurance - think twice!"
