Ronaldsway Airport says drivers paid almost £400,000 in parking tickets last year, but more than 25 per cent remain outstanding..
A Freedom of Information request asked how many parking fines had been issued at the airport in the last five years.
In its response, the Department of Infrastructure says 11,141 tickets were issued last year - well down on the 16,756 issued the year before.
But only 56 per cent of the tickets were paid off - raising £399,390 - with 2,866 still unpaid and more either cancelled or subject to no further action.
