A farm in the south of the Island says it’s giving up growing potatoes because of rising energy, fertiliser and seed costs.
Ballaquinney Farm in Ballabeg announced its decision on Facebook, calling spuds a ‘high-risk’ crop.
It says it has enough potatoes to supply people during 2024.
However, it’ll cease production later this year.
