Pets at Home in Douglas is now part of the company's new recycling scheme.
The trial means pet owners can return empty plastic food pouches which will be sent to a specialist facility in the UK to be recycled.
Any pet food pouch that's made of flexible plastic can be accepted, as long as it's been rinsed of any remaining food.
More information on the scheme can be found on the Pets at Home website.
