New company tackles IT risks

A new company based in Douglas says it provides a one-stop shop for companies concerned about their IT security.

Simply Secure, in Mount Havelock, says problems can come in many forms – from people writing passwords on post-it notes to insecure company mobile phones containing sensitive emails.

Colin Tansley, one of four experts on the team, says the aim is to audit small Manx businesses on every aspect of their data security.

He says problems can come from unexpected places, not just from hackers:
