Manx Telecom says price rises will fund investment

Manx Telecom says price rises for some of its customers will be used to make improvements to its network.

The company has announced it's putting up line rentals by £3 a month and broadband costs by 50p from May 1st.

However it's cutting prices for those who use MT's fixed line, contract mobile and broadband by £4.50.

Stephen Kane, the company's head of retail product, says there are also price cuts for its fixed line services.

He says the majority of broadband customers will see their bills fall:
