A new Chair of Manx Care has been appointed following approval in December's sitting of Tynwald.
Professor Wendy Reid will take up the post in February for a term of between three and five years.
She has a long and distinguished medical career, working in obstetrics and gynaecology after qualifying in 1994.
Professor Reid has also held several academic posts including medical director, interim Chief executive and as a dean of postgraduate medicine at London Deanery.
