Inflation on Island stood at 8.1% last month.
That's according to the latest Consumer Prices Index report - published yesterday.
Although it's down from 9% in April - government says given the economic lookout, it's likely the decrease represents only a temporary lull in rising inflation rather than signaling the beginning of a downward trend.
Transport continues to be the largest contributor, alongside gas, water, electricity and housing.
