A senior HSBC official is warning local businesses against cyber fraud during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Warwick Long, Head of Commercial Banking at HSBC Isle of Man and Channel Islands, says online criminals are adapting old techniques in attempts to exploit the business environment.
According to data collected by HSBC group over recent weeks, there's been a rise in con artists trying to get hold of sensitive information through fake or unsolicited e-mails, phone calls and text messages.
